Security levels are implemented in this site to allow control of user actions. This allows the community of the website to be able to manage itself, by allowing the promotion or demotion of users by certain 'Elite' users.

There is usually need for only one Mad Scientist, who has the highest security level. This level allows complete control of the website.

One point worth noting is that any user below the Mad Scientist may request for their security rating to be upgraded to the next level.

This is the beginning security level and therefore allows you to perform the least amount of tasks within the website:
· User may view and edit their own profile. They may also view other peoples profiles.

This is the general security level that most users will be able to obtain:

While many users will aspire to become 'Technicians', few will. This level provides penultimate power within the website community:

· User may post comments on news items.
· User may accept or decline other users requests to be promoted.
· User may demote other users at will.
